Recommended to be used for qualitative purposes due to its instability. The compound is an oily liquid and not very stable in aqueous or methanolic solutions. For HPLC a derivatization method with 2,4-DNPH was used. LC/MS investigations proved the integrated substance peaks to be E/Z isomers.
